After years of writing for her friends and family she is now ready to share her work and hopes to be published. Daisy lives in Springfield with her wife, Shirley and 4 year old twins Isabella and Emilio.

Jacob Rakovan won Outstanding Screenplay in Texas's 2006 24PS film festival for "My Electric Bill", Another short entitled "Take This Ring" is currently in production. He served as editor to the arts magazine Bacchus and the Portsmouth Free Press and was a founding member of the now defunct Southern Ohio Underground Poetry and Spoken Word Collective. He has been published in many print and web journals including My Favorite Bullet, Samsara, Urban Spaghetti and the Deep Cleveland Junkmail Oracle, a tribute to the work of d.a. levy. His most recent print publication was in San Francisco's Other Magazine, in an edition devoted exclusively to monkeys.

SUMMER POETRY READINGS AT NEW ENGLAND COLLEGE
New England College announces its annual schedule of readings
by the internationally acclaimed faculty of the Master of Fine Arts in Poetry program.
The readings will be offered between June 24 and July 1.
All readings are free and open to the public and will be held
in the Simon Center Great Room on Bridge Street in Henniker, NH at 7:30 p.m.
The schedule of readings this weekend is as follows:

Friday, June 29 Maxine Kumin, Gerald Stern
7:30 p.m. Simon Center Great Room – New England College

Maxine Kumin's new poetry collection, Still to Mow, will be published
in September 2007. Author of Jack and Other New Poems,
The Long Marriage and a memoir, Inside the Halo and Beyond:
Anatomy of a Recovery, Kumin's awards include the Pulitzer and
Ruth Lilly Poetry Prizes and the Harvard Arts and Robert Frost Medals.

Gerald Stern is a chancellor of the Academy of American Poets.
He has written thirteen books of poetry, including American Sonnets.
This Time, New and Selected Poems, won the National Book Award of Poetry in 1998.
Other collections include Last Blue, Odd Mercy, and Bread Without Sugar.
His most recent books are Everything is Burning and What I Can’t Bear Losing: Notes on My Life. Stern has received the Lamont Prize, a Guggenheim Fellowship, three NEA grants, a fellowship from the Academy of Arts and Letters and the Ruth Lilly Prize.
Until his retirement in 1995, he taught at the Writers' Workshop at the University of Iowa.
He has also served on the faculty of Columbia University, New York University,
Sarah Lawrence College and the University of Pittsburgh. In 2005, he won the
prestigious Wallace Stevens Award from the Academy of American Poets.

Joan Larkin’s most recent collection is My Body: New and Selected Poems.
She is the translator, with Jaime Manrique, of Sor Juana’s Love Poems;
co-editor of the Living Out series at the University of Wisconsin Press,
and recent poetry editor of Bloom. She co-founded Out & Out Books as
part of the feminist literary explosion of the 1970’s and co-edited
Amazon Poetry and Lesbian Poetry and Gay and Lesbian Poetry in Our Time.
Her anthology of coming out stories, A Woman Like That, was nominated for
Publishing Triangle and Lambda awards for nonfiction in 2000.
She has received fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts,
New York Foundation for the Arts, and the Massachusetts Cultural Council,
and has served on the faculties of Brooklyn, Sarah Lawrence, and Goddard Colleges
and as Distinguished Visiting Poet at Columbia College Chicago.

Paula McLain has been a resident at Yaddo and the MacDowell Colony,
and is the recipient of a 2001 fellowship in poetry from the National Endowment
for the Arts. She is the author of Stumble, Gorgeous and Less of Her which
received a grant from the Greenwall Fund of the Academy of American Poets.
Her memoir Like Family was published in 2003.. Her work has appeared in
various journals, including the Gettysburg Review, Quarterly West and The
Bellingham Review.

Malena Morling, a native of Sweden, is the author of two books of poetry.
Her book, Ocean Avenue, was selected by Philip Levine for the New Issues
Press Poetry Prize in 1998. She has translated poems by the Swedish poet,
Tomas Transtromer, and has been published in The New York Times Book
Review, The New Republic, Washington Post Book World, Double Take/Points
of Entry, and Five Points. She is the recipient of the Rona Jaffe Foundation
Writers Award and the Lotos Club Foundation Prize. She has taught at New
York University, the University of Montana, Syracuse University, The New School,
and currently teaches at the University of North Carolina, Wilmington.

New England College’s Master of Fine Arts in Poetry is the only single-genre program
in the country and provides a transformative experience in the study of creative
